Steve Emberton

Today I had the immense pleasure of shooting with Steve Emberton, it was just a brief encounter to take a couple of shots for a new brand in Brighton.

Every now and then if you're lucky in this life you chance upon someone who is truly fascinating, an old soul with stories to tell. Emberton was resigned to keeping the tales of his misadventures to himself, in case of incriminating any of his glittering companions in mischief although many of the shimmering cast have long left this stage behind and many far too young.

Emberton worked for Record Mirror during the 70's, and then NME and Sounds magazine among many others iconic publications.

In 2004 Rolling Stone Chose an image Emberton shot at the home of Sid and Nancy for their 50th Anniversary Of Rock. It was displayed alongside the work of others like Richard Avedon, Anton Corbijn, Herb Ritts, David Bailey and Annie Leibovitz.



Roxy Music was one amongst a long list of rock legends whom Emberton graced with his lens, Including Iggy Pop, The Rollings Stones, Blondie, Queen and Joan Jet.

These jumpsuits are insane. I have a real thing for animal costumes, the less sexy the better. Everyone should invest in one, Started my personal collection with the skeleton all in one. Felt like a six year old high on pic'n'mix when it arrived. pretty dam sweet.
